Purpling
Engineering students all across Canada dye themselves purple during their Orientation Week. This is a long-standing tradition, with the purple dye meant to honour the Engineers that came before us. The origin of the tradition is believed to be the sinking of the Titanic as the Engineers wore purple coveralls to identify themselves. When the bodies of Engineers surfaced, the purple coveralls had dyed their skin purple.
Since this event follows the online writing skills test, Purpling is a drop-in event. Come anytime between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
